Shandong University of Science and Technology came to our school to conduct research on Sino-foreign cooperative education

On the afternoon of July 22nd, a delegation led by Sun Heting, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President, Party Secretary of Jinan Campus, Director of the Management Committee, Party Secretary and President of Swinburne College of Shandong University of Science and Technology, visitedAulinCollege to conduct research and exchange on issues related to Sino-foreign cooperative education. Present at the research and exchange meeting were Liu Zhiming, President ofAulinCollege, Yu Yang, Party Secretary ofAulinCollege, Sun Zhiping, Director of the International Cooperation Office, Yang Hongxue, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Zhang Xiaohui, Deputy Director of the Planning and Finance Office, Luo Wei, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President ofAulinCollege, and relevant staff members. Liu Zhiming, President ofAulinCollege, presided over the meeting.

President Liu Zhiming first delivered a welcoming speech at the meeting, extending a warm welcome to the delegation from Shandong University of Science and Technology visiting theAulinCollege.

Vice President Sun Heting of Shandong University of Science and Technology expressed his gratitude to theAulinCollege for the reception and introduced the university's history, disciplinary characteristics, and the development of Sino-foreign cooperative education at the Jinan campus. Vice President Sun Heting stated that theAulinCollege has distinctive features in Sino-foreign cooperative education and enjoys a good social reputation. He hoped that through this research visit, both sides could have in-depth exchanges and further enhance the level of Sino-foreign cooperative education.

Liu Zhiming shared the educational experience ofAulinCollege from aspects such as the college overview, teaching operation and management, faculty team building, teaching reform, and professional discipline construction. Sun Zhiping, the director of the International Cooperation Office, introduced the work of international cooperation of our university and stated that the office would spare no effort to provide service guarantees for the internationalization work of each college. Luo Wei, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president ofAulinCollege, introduced the student management work of the college. He said that the college, based on the characteristics of students in Sino-foreign cooperative education, has created brand English activities, distinctive social practice activities, and built an international platform, aiming to cultivate international talents with a sense of patriotism. Yu Yang, the secretary of the Party Committee ofAulinCollege, said that since the establishment of the college, both Chinese and foreign sides have attached great importance to the development ofAulinCollege. Relevant functional departments and parent colleges have also provided strong support. He also shared the experience and practices ofAulinCollege in improving the rate of students going abroad. Yang Hongxue, the deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office, said thatAulinCollege is an important carrier for our university to promote educational internationalization. The Academic Affairs Office coordinates and collaborates to provide support and guarantees for the rapid development ofAulinCollege. Zhang Xiaohui, the deputy director of the Planning and Finance Office, introduced the financial management of Sino-foreign cooperative education in terms of financial expenditure and auditing.

Accompanying Vice President Sun Heting on the visit were Qiao Weiguo, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Shandong University of Science and Technology, Wu Gaobo, Director of the Finance Office, Fan Mingqu, Deputy Director of the Jinan Campus Management Committee and Director of the Teaching and Research Department, as well as Executive Vice President of Swinburne College, Guo Jiashu, Director of the Student Affairs Office, and Wu Junqing, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office. The participants from both sides had an in-depth exchange on matters related to teaching reform, faculty team building, financial management, and academic support for Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions/projects.

After the meeting, Vice President Sun Heting of Shandong University of Science and Technology and his delegation visited the teaching environment, office areas, student activity rooms, and multi-functional academic lecture halls ofAulinCollege, and took a group photo as a memento.
