On the afternoon of October 12th, our university held a video conference of the Joint Management Committee (JMC) for Sino-foreign cooperative education programs in 2022 with Aston University, UK. President Li Bin, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President Zhai Xuefeng, Aston University President Alecks Subic, Executive Vice President Saskia Hansen, and heads of relevant departments of both universities attended the meeting.

President Li Bin stated at the meeting thatNEFUhas always adhered to high-quality educational development and pursued cooperation, inclusiveness and mutual benefit. Since the approval of the engineering management cooperative education program, the university and Aston University have been treating each other sincerely and cooperating pragmatively. It is hoped that in the future, the two universities will carry out deeper and all-round cooperation on the basis of the existing cooperation, explore the joint training model of postgraduate students, promote international cooperation in scientific research, and take the cooperation between the two universities to a new level.
President AlecksSubic thanked our university for the hard work done to ensure the stable operation of the program during the pandemic and shared the progress of the program students' studies at Aston University and the progress of the program.

Professor Liu Zhiming, Dean of ourAulinCollege, Professor Cheng Peifeng, Dean of our School of Civil Engineering, Professor Mujib Rehman, Head of the Department of Infrastructure and Sustainable Engineering at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences of Aston University, and WendyYip, Head of the Department of International Business Development, respectively gave special reports on the operation of the project. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions and reached broad consensus on project management, admissions, teaching and training, student dispatch, and the evaluation of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs by the Ministry of Education.

Zhai Xuefeng made a concluding speech, expressing gratitude to Aston University for its support in teacher training and project evaluation, and hoping that in the future cooperation, the two universities will continue to fulfill their duties and responsibilities and promote high-quality and high-standard cooperation. Saskia Hansen, the vice-chancellor of Aston University, said he was pleased to see the outstanding performance of the first batch of graduates from the Engineering Management program and would continue to promote in-depth cooperation and exchanges between the two sides in future work.
