In order to further promote teaching at Aulin College and deepen cooperation with the teaching colleges, Aulin College organized a meeting of the Teaching Guidance Committee and teaching promotion joint meeting for this semester on the evening of October 31, 2022. Professor Liu Zhiming, the dean of Aulin College, Zhao Lihua, the vice dean, Luo Wei, the deputy secretary and vice dean, Professor Cheng Donghui, the vice dean of the School of Civil Engineering, Professor Song Xingshun, the vice dean of the School of Life Sciences, Associate Professor Li Dan, the dean of the School of Information, Professor Xu Miaojun, the vice dean of the School of Chemistry and Resources, as well as the heads of various majors and relevant department staff attended the meeting.
President Liu, on behalf of Aulin College, first thanked the vice deans and the heads of the programs for sacrificing their rest time to attend the meeting. He said that with the support of the teaching college, Aulin College has been in operation for nearly four years, with a distinct international education feature and an increasing quality of students year by year. He hopes that the participants can communicate fully, deepen their understanding and jointly do a good job in the training of undergraduate students in Sino-foreign cooperative education.
Vice President Zhao Lihua had a thorough discussion with everyone on the graduation design (thesis) work of Aulin College, the implementation of the Tutorial tutoring and Q&A system in teaching reform, course construction, international teaching reform special projects, reform of research-oriented teaching methods, and reform of examination methods.
Vice Secretary Luo Wei said that Aulin College currently has 1,461 undergraduate students and 32 postgraduate students. The student management team of Aulin College will fully cooperate with the teachers of the teaching college to regulate the classroom teaching order and strictly enforce the examination discipline. We will work together to do a good job in cultivating international talents at NEFU and make Sino-foreign cooperative education a new calling card of NEFU.
Finally, the colleges gained a better understanding of the upcoming work of the Aulin College and expressed that they would jointly promote the work of their own colleges with that of the Aulin College, actively cooperate with the Aulin College in carrying out various reforms, and gradually apply the results to non-cooperative education programs.
