Aulin College held a meeting for the class of 2020 in Engineering Management Presentation meeting on the "3+1" Training Model

To further help students broaden their international perspective and clarify their future development direction, a presentation on the "3+1" training model for the 2020 Engineering management major ofAulinCollege was held in Room 101 of the multi-functional academic Lecture Hall ofAulinCollege on the morning of October 31. President Liu Zhiming, Vice President Zhao Lihua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Luo Wei, Li Na, director of the International Project Center, and relevant teachers were present at the meeting.

Our engineering management program adopts a "3+1" talent cultivation model. That is, students spend the first three years of full-time study at Northeast Forestry University. After completing the courses of the first stage and meeting the English language proficiency and professional course grades required by Aston University, they can go to Aston University for a one-year second stage of study. The program introduces the high-quality teaching resources of Aston University in the UK, combines the training advantages of the engineering management program of Northeast Forestry University, and aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents in engineering technology and management with an international perspective. Graduates who meet the requirements can obtain bachelor's degree certificates from both Northeast Forestry University and Aston University.

President Liu Zhiming, based on an analysis of the international situation, comprehensively interpreted the role, significance and basic requirements of the "3+1" training model for the engineering management major, and exchanged views with the students on aspects such as the current situation of the epidemic at home and abroad, the overseas study situation of previous students and the employment issues after going abroad for recommendation.

Teachers Gao Juan and Li Lingyu from the International Program Center successively explained to the students the basic conditions for going abroad, the DEP certification process, and the specific procedures for applying to study in the UK, and urged the students to attach importance to the study of academic English, focus on the cultivation of language output ability, and make adequate preparations for going abroad next year.

The successful holding of this presentation has enabled the students majoring in Engineering Management of the 2020 grade in our college to have a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the "3+1" training model. We hope that all the students will achieve success in their studies and grow into truly outstanding international talents. (Text and Photo by Huang Jiying)
