On the morning of February 21st, Iain Watt, the Executive Vice President of the University of Technology Sydney in Australia, and Li Xinqing, the chairman of AEMG Education Group, visited our school. Li Shunlong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of our university, held a discussion with the visiting delegation in Room 608 of the Comprehensive Office Building. Relevant officials from the International Cooperation Office,AulinCollege and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering attended the discussion. The meeting was chaired by Sun Zhiping, director of the International Cooperation Office.

Li Shunlong welcomed the delegation from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and AEMG Education Group. He said that President Iain is an old friend of UTS and thanked the three parties for their joint efforts to deepen cooperation. Li introduced the achievements UTS has made in international exchanges and cooperation in recent years and looked forward to higher-level and broader cooperation and exchanges among the three parties in areas such as talent cultivation and teacher-student exchanges.
Iain Watt said he was very pleased to have a face-to-face exchange with representatives fromNEFU. Iain Watt gave an overview of the university of Technology Sydney and its strong disciplines. He said that on the basis of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation framework signed this time, the consensus on in-depth cooperation has been further consolidated, and he hopes that the two universities will carry out more in-depth and long-term cooperation in areas such as joint training of postgraduate students and scientific research cooperation in the future.
Liu Jiuqing, dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, introduced our university's mechanical engineering discipline and its advantages and characteristics as well as the current research being carried out, and expressed the hope for a postgraduate cooperative education program between the mechanical engineering discipline and UTS. Liu Zhiming, the dean of theAulinCollege, spoke at the meeting about the training model of the mechanical engineering cooperative education program, the construction of the joint research center (MQP and DQP programs), and the student summer camp.

The three parties jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation and fully discussed and reached a consensus on cooperative education, the construction of the joint research center, joint training of postgraduate students and inter-school exchanges of teachers and students, which played a positive role in promoting future international cooperation between the two schools.
