Aulin College participated in the seminar on High-Quality development and cooperation in higher education between China and New Zealand

On May 19, on the occasion of Yangzhou University's 121st anniversary, the event was hosted by the Embassy of New Zealand in China, the Consulate General of New Zealand in Shanghai and the New Zealand Education International Promotion Agency under the guidance of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, the China Scholarship Council and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. The symposium on High-Quality development and cooperation of higher education between China and New Zealand, titled "Innovation and Integration, Connectivity and Development", was held as scheduled, hosted by Yangzhou University. Nearly 70 experts and scholars from more than 20 domestic and New Zealand universities gathered at Yangzhou University to discuss the internationalization of higher education in China and New Zealand in the new era. Professor Liu Zhiming, the dean of our university, was invited to attend the conference and deliver a keynote speech.

Jiao Xin 'an, Secretary of the Party Committee of Yangzhou University, Chen Dali, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, Li Qing, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Scholarship Council, Ron XAVIER, Counsellor for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Embassy of New Zealand in China, and Michael ZHANG, Counsellor for Education, attended the opening ceremony. The conference has four themes and discusses topics such as Sino-foreign cooperative education, the "Three Brothers" program, cooperation among industry, academia, research and application, and talent introduction and cultivation.

In the keynote speech session, President Liu Zhiming delivered a speech titled "Leading with Ideas, Cultivating Trees and People" - New Initiatives for Talent cultivation atAulinCollege. He first introduced the overall situation of the college's operation, and focused on sharing the achievements and results of the college's operation from the perspective of talent cultivation. The "111" cooperative education model and characteristics of the college were widely recognized by the guests present.

To cultivate more outstanding international talents with an international vision, innovative spirit, practical ability and cross-cultural communication skills, to support the exchanges and cooperation between Chinese universities represented byNEFUand New Zealand universities in the new era, and to steadily expand the influence of the university in the field of people-to-people exchanges in higher education between China and New Zealand.
