On May 29th, one of the series of activities for deepening educational and teaching reforms atAulinCollege, the sharing of research results on "Macroeconomics and Microeconomics", was successfully held in Room 507 ofAulinCollege in the form of a "Youth Forum on Western Economic Theory and Application". Students majoring in Engineering Management of the 2021 grade participated in this forum and shared their research results. Zhao Lihua, the vice dean in charge of teaching atAulinCollege, Liu Jie, the head of the Engineering management program, and Li Meng, the teaching secretary of the college, attended the event.
This "Macroeconomics and Microeconomics" course project is part of the college's series of activities to deepen educational and teaching reforms. The course design combines the research-oriented teaching model, transforming students from passive listening to classes to active participation, and fully mobilizing students' enthusiasm and initiative in learning. The research topics of the course are a combination of Chinese and foreign, and span from ancient to modern times, including "Research on the Sales Strategy of High-end Luxury Brand Products' never Discount and Launch Limited Edition Products'", "Interpreting the 'Waiting by the Stump' in Han Feizi's 'Five Worths' Chapter from an Economic Perspective", and "On the Social Issue of 'Support or Not Support' The course consists of 16 topics, including "Please use economic theory to analyze the root cause of the problem and provide reasonable solutions". Students formed teams freely, combined with the economics knowledge they had learned, and deeply participated in the research project through the stages of preliminary research topic selection, literature review, group discussion, making outcome posters, etc. They presented their achievements in both Chinese and English, not only analyzing the internal and external factors of the selected topic, but also demonstrating the research results through graph functions, listing examples, etc. It fully exercised the students' ability to master the course knowledge through self-study, as well as their ability to cooperate, communicate and solve problems.
Students of the Engineering Management class of 2021 have expressed that this new teaching method can stimulate their interest in course learning, enable everyone to effectively participate in research projects, and improve the learning efficiency of theoretical courses. In the future, the college will further expand the scope of educational and teaching reform to benefit more students and do good deeds and practical things for them.
