On June 9th, a delegation from the International College of Xi'an University of Technology, led by Yang Yuan, the Party Secretary and Dean of the college, along with Li Yan, the Honorary Dean, Kang Wenxiang, the Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and Zhang Xiaochun, the Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the college, visited the Aulin College. The delegation came to discuss issues such as the management and financial aid system for students going abroad, the construction of the management mechanism for international students, the improvement of the quality of students in Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, the training model and quality assurance system for master's and doctoral students. The visit was attended by Liu Zhiming, the Dean of Aulin College, Ai Xifeng, the Party Secretary, Sun Zhiping, the Director of the International Cooperation Office, Zhao Lihua, the Vice Dean of Aulin College, Luo Wei, the Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean, and the heads of relevant departments. The meeting was chaired by Dean Liu Zhiming.
At the meeting, Dean Liu Zhiming first extended a warm welcome to the representatives from Xi'an University of Technology's International College and introduced the development history, organizational structure, quality assurance system for education, joint research institute, base class construction, and student scholarships of Aulin College. He also shared the college's distinctive features and experiences in Sino-foreign cooperative education. Secretary Ai Xifeng briefly exchanged experiences in the college's Party building work, Olin Academy, and the development and management of student Party members. Director Sun Zhiping of the International Cooperation Office discussed the school's regulations on teachers and students going abroad and the school's scholarship assistance. Vice Dean Zhao Lihua and Deputy Secretary Luo Wei also exchanged views on the college's teaching plan arrangement and student management.
Dean Yang Yuan of the International College of Xi'an University of Technology expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and congratulated Olin College on its achievements since its establishment. She said that Olin College has a good reputation and many advanced practices in institutional management and teaching reform, and hoped that both sides would strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in the future to jointly promote the development of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
Both sides had in-depth discussions on issues such as the internationalization construction indicators in Sino-foreign cooperative education, faculty construction, teaching management, postgraduate training, scientific research development, as well as the pain points and difficulties encountered in the work, fully exchanged opinions, shared experiences and measures in the work, and jointly explored new ideas for Sino-foreign cooperative education.
After the meeting, the delegation from Xi'an University of Technology visited the college's multi-functional academic report hall, smart classrooms, student activity center, as well as the school's forest museum, school history museum, and forestry demonstration base, and took a group photo.
