To enhance communication and exchange between the college and the teaching faculty, and to make thorough preparations for the arrival of foreign teachers in the new semester, continuously optimize and improve the teaching methods of foreign courses in theAulinCollege, and improve teaching effectiveness, on June 30th at noon, theAulinCollege held a teaching work conference for the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year in the 609 meeting room. Vice President Zhao Lihua in charge of teaching, the heads of the Biology Technology, Computer Science and Technology, and Chemistry departments of theAulinCollege, the assistant teachers for foreign courses in the next semester, and relevant personnel from the college's teaching management department attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Zhao Lihua.
At the meeting, Vice President Zhao Lihua first summarized the teaching work of theAulinCollege this semester, expressed gratitude to the teaching assistants for their hard work, and then, in light of the overall work arrangement of the Undergraduate College, made arrangements for the key and routine teaching tasks of theAulinCollege for the next semester. She particularly emphasized the precautions for the offline teaching by foreign teachers coming to China next semester, and stressed the importance of ideological work and the professional ethics and conduct of teachers.
Next, the participants discussed how to assist foreign teachers in conducting offline teaching, the course arrangements before and after the foreign teachers' arrival in China, the transition between online and offline teaching, and how to help students quickly adapt to face-to-face teaching by foreign teachers and improve their autonomous learning ability. Based on their rich teaching experience, the teachers actively expressed their opinions. The atmosphere of the discussion was lively and harmonious.
Finally, President Zhao encouraged all the teachers to make full use of the platform ofAulinCollege, take advantage of the opportunities when foreign teachers come to China for face-to-face teaching, deeply study the advanced educational concepts and experiences of foreign universities, actively participate in the reform of teaching methods and examination methods, and promote the development of research-oriented teaching.
