Aulin College Held the Opening Ceremony of 2019 Freshmen

On the morning of September 4, the opening ceremony and unveiling ceremony of 2019 freshmen of Aulin College of Northeast Forestry University was held in the conference room on the 4th floor of Chengdong building. Li Bin, President of our university, Stuart McCutheon, President of Auckland University, Jenny Dixon, Executive Vice President of Auckland University, Song Wenlong,  President Assistant of Northeast Forestry University, John Hosking, Head of Science Department of Auckland University, Brett Berquist, Director of International Department of Auckland University, and Wang Jing, Director of AEMG group, attended the opening ceremony and unveiling ceremony. Heads of relevant functional departments of the University, principals of relevant colleges and teachers and students of Aulin college attended the ceremony .

Li Bin, President of Northeast Forestry University, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He first welcomed the guests from Auckland University and AEMG group. President Li Bin pointed out that Aulin college is a special and brand-new college. It is jointly established by Northeast Forestry University of China and Auckland University，New Zealand. It carries the new exploration and new mission of NEFU international school running. It will be committed to cultivating students' solid theoretical foundation, broad international vision, Better international communication ability, strong academic innovation ability and strong social responsibility. For the country to train pillars of talent and "One Belt And One Road" glorious messenger. President Li said that students can enjoy the excellent training mode, teaching by high-quality teachers, plan their academic career independently, enhance their international competitiveness, and become "Donglin people" and "Aulin people" with great achievements.

Stuart McCutheon, President of Auckland University, reviewed the good history of education cooperation between China and Singapore, and said in his speech that the establishment of Aulin college marks a new step in the exchange and cooperation between Auckland University and Northeast Forestry University, and adds a brand-new stroke to the international partnership between the two universities. The two universities will jointly provide the best education for students and provide graduates with the best education to be a leader in the industry, we should lay a solid foundation to cultivate international talents with international vision, innovative spirit and practical ability.

Wang Jing, Director of AEMG group, congratulated the establishment of Aulin college. She proposed to the students that they should take Aulin as the starting point, go and enter the world, and experience different cultures; she hoped that the students would take Aulin as their home, become Aulin's proud, and show their beautiful life.

Liu Zhiming, Dean of Aulin college, and John Hosking, Head of Science Department of Auckland University, jointly launched the college logo release ball. At the ceremony, the image of the college uniform and mascot was displayed, and its profound cultural connotation was introduced.

On behalf of AEMG group, Wang Jing donated the Global Cloud Classroom to Aulin college.

Yu Huiling, a teacher, and Li Yutong, class 3, 2019 biotechnology major of Aulin college, spoke on behalf of the teachers and students respectively, expressing their expectations for the bright future of Aulin college.

Licensing ceremony

In February 2016, our president Li Bin led a delegation to visit the University of Auckland. The two sides signed a cooperation framework agreement. In April 2019, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Aulin College of Northeast Forestry University. The college has three undergraduate specialties, including Three Bachelor Program：Computer science and Technology, Biotechnology and Chemistry, and Master Program：Ecology. At present, Aulin College of our university is one of the 95 non-independent legal person Chinese foreign cooperative school running institutions in China, and it is also the first Chinese foreign cooperative school running institution with undergraduate and master's degree in Heilongjiang Province. The college is subordinate to Northeast Forestry University and its school location is located in NEFU campus.

Under the high attention of the leaders of the two cooperative universities, all teachers, students and staff of Aulin college will make joint efforts to build Aulin college into a brand of international school running, and strive to become a high-level Sino-foreign cooperative school running institution with leading role in Northeast China and having certain demonstration effect in China!
