A Series of Teaching Meetings held at Aulin College, Autumn Semester of 2020-2021


        Recently, Aulin College held a series of teaching work meetings. At the beginning of the fall semester of 2020-2021, the college convenes teaching teachers, professional leaders and teaching supervisors to have a discussion respectively. At the meeting, Liu Zhiming, Dean of Aulin College, stressed that under the situation of normalized epidemic prevention and control in the new semester, the new weather, and the post epidemic period, the key points of teaching work in Aulin College were to try and learn in teaching reform (teaching concept, teaching design, teaching content), deepening reform of examination methods, classroom teaching, experimental teaching, tutorial system, etc Advanced educational concepts and experience in foreign universities encourage teachers who teach courses to students in Aulin College to actively participate in the reform of teaching methods and examination methods, improve students' autonomous learning ability, pay attention to the learning process and cultivate learning habits, and carry out the integrity test without supervision on a pilot basis, so that students can better and faster integrate with foreign teaching. At several meetings, Zhao Lihua, Vice Dean of Aulin College, gave teachers, supervisors and professional leaders a detailed interpretation of the key points of the teaching reform of Aulin College, the ideas and methods of teaching reform, and encouraged teachers to jump out of the routine and combine with the characteristics of their own courses to try in Aulin from point to area.


        This semester, after class tutorial teaching system will be implemented in all courses of Aulin College. After class tutorial is arranged at least once a week after each course starts, which is used for answering questions, group discussions, temporary tests, etc. The pilot courses are advanced mathematics and linear algebra in 2020. Teachers are required to increase the number of examinations appropriately, enrich the forms of examinations as much as possible, and attach importance to the assessment of the whole learning process.


        On September 9, a teaching work meeting was held in the 609 conference room of Aulin College. More than 20 teachers in charge of various professional courses attended the meeting.         On September 11, the Teaching Steering Committee of Aulin College, composed of Professor An Tiezhu, Professor Sun Molong, Associate Professor Yu Haiyan and Associate Professor Jiang Li, had a discussion with the college leaders. The meeting topics on how to carry out the new semester teaching supervision work, and how to maximize the role of teaching supervision. All the supervisors spoke actively and offered suggestions for promoting the reform of teaching and examination methods.




 

        On September 17, Aulin College held a new semester meeting of professional leaders to arrange relevant teaching tasks. At the meeting, Dean Liu Zhiming first summarized the teaching situation of Aulin College in the past year, then briefly introduced the enrollment situation of Aulin College in 2020, and finally put forward new requirements for the teaching work of Aulin College from the college level and professional level. Vice Dean Zhao Lihua communicated with all the teachers about the implementation of teaching plans of various majors, summarized the difficulties and problems encountered in the implementation of talent programs, and made a detailed introduction to the education and teaching reform and the reform of examination methods carried out by Aulin College this semester and the relevant work requirements. The person in charge of each major said that they would actively cooperate with the reform of Aulin College in their respective colleges, so as to contribute to the success of the college.
