On the morning of September 16, the meeting of graduate students and Freshmen of Aulin College was held in the 609 conference room of Aulin building. Liu Zhiming, Dean of the Aulin College, Yu Yang, Secretary of the Party branch directly under the Aulin College, Zhao Lihua, Vice Dean and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
On behalf of the college, Dean Liu Zhiming first expressed his sincere welcome to the first graduate students of ecology of Aulin College in 2020, and briefly introduced the overall situation and development of the college. In addition, the ecological discipline of NEFU, the science department of the University of Auckland, the specific training mode, curriculum arrangement, academic English and professional course requirements, as well as the Aulin scholarship are introduced in detail. On behalf of all the faculty and staff of the college, we hope that the first graduate students should have lofty aspirations, cherish the motherland, make clear plans, cherish time, study hard, strive to go abroad smoothly and learn as adults. The college will also do a good job in all aspects of learning security and services.
Zhao Lihua, vice president of the Aulin College, gives a detailed description of the teaching, co construction and course selection of the University in China according to the Handbook of learning in Aulin produced by the college. She welcomes students to communicate with the college about teaching problems in time during the period of school. She also suggests that students should consolidate their academic English foundation, improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing and scientific writing skills in the first year, so as to prepare for the postgraduate study in the University of Auckland.
Finally, Secretary Yu Yang put forward some suggestions on the ideological and political education, network public opinion management and epidemic prevention and control of postgraduates, and stressed the management requirements of students in the special period of the epidemic. He hoped that students would actively participate in learning, establish correct value orientation, improve the awareness of network civilization, love their country and school, and be the best themselves.
