On the morning of July 13, Beijing time, the forum between Northeast Forestry University and the international research center of forest source chemistry and materials of James Cook University in Australia was successfully held. This forum aims to promote academic exchanges between the two universities in the fields of Ecology (Animal Ecology),ITtechnology, data science and big data, mechanical engineering, chemistry and chemical engineering, and jointly cultivate high-level international talents. Prof. Ron white, director of science and Engineering Department of James Cook University, Liu Zhiming, Dean ofAulinCollege of Northeast Forestry University, and more than 10 experts and scholars from the engineering, chemistry and ecology teams of the two sides attended the meeting and shared the latest research results.
The academic forum was presided over byDeanLiu Zhiming.Hefirst extended a warm welcome to the experts and scholars, master's students and doctoral students from both sides, briefly introduced the meeting process and participants, and further elaborated the work tasks, development goals and vision of AulinJoint Research Institute of Northeast Forestry University. Professor Ron White gave a brief introduction to James Cook University, focusing on the world's first ranked marine science and the second ranked biodiversity conservation major. He said that the two universities have the world's top resource advantages, and hope to take theAulincollege and theAulinIGI Programmeas the platform in the future, The teams of both sides can strengthen mutual visits and contacts, and promote more in-depth scientific research cooperation between Doctoral Supervisors of both sides with the joint doctoral training project as the link.
The meeting heard reports from experts and scholars from computer science, mechanical engineering, Linyuan chemistry, ecology and other fields of the two schools. The two sides demonstrated the team members, advanced experimental equipment, and the latest research results. Through sharing and exchange, the two schools have deepened their understanding and laid a foundation for further scientific research cooperation and doctoral joint training.
