At 9:00 a.m. on May 25, 2021, Beijing time, the Academic Affairs Board (AAB) meeting of spring semester 2021 was held by Aulin College of Northeast Forestry University and the Department of science of Auckland University. The meeting was held simultaneously in Harbin, Beijing, Auckland of New Zealand and Melbourne of Australia by remote video.
Mr. Liu Zhiming, Dean of Aulin college, Mr. Zhao Lihua, Vice Dean of Aulin college, Mr. Douglas elliffe, head of Science Department of University of Auckland, Prof. Sebastian link, Vice Minister of Science Department of University of Auckland More than 20 people attended the meeting, including Professor Duncan Mcgillivray, vice minister, professor Allen Rodrigo, Dean of School of life sciences, and head of International Department of science.
After the video conference, the dean of teaching and professional leaders of both sides first reviewed the curriculum arrangement and teaching operation of Aulin college in the spring semester of 2021. Dean Liu Zhiming introduced the undergraduate enrollment arrangement of Aulin University in 2021 and the admission of ecological postgraduates. Afterwards, the two sides exchanged and discussed the undergraduate teaching arrangement, graduate education work, experimental courses and other topics for the next semester. The meeting was held in a positive and active atmosphere, and the participants reached consensus on a number of topics. Finally, the meeting confirmed that the next Academic Affairs Board meeting will be held in November 2021.
Since its establishment in 2019, Aulin college has enrolled two sessions of students, with nearly 700 undergraduate and postgraduate students. In the process of running the school, the college has always attached great importance to improving the quality of personnel training in Sino foreign cooperative education. After two years of high standard construction, we have formed a "daily teaching communication meeting mechanism" with foreign cooperative universities. We hold an Academic Affairs Board (AAB) meeting every six months to timely feed back the problems existing in teaching, continuously improve the teaching design, steadily improve the teaching effect, and ensure the continuous improvement of talent training quality.
