At 15:30 p.m. on May 19, Beijing time, in the 609 conference room of Aulin college, the first pre trip Education Conference for overseas students majoring in engineering management from Northeast Forestry University to Aston University was held by connecting with Aston University in the form of zoom video conference. Dr. Sylvia Wong, associate dean of School of international engineering and physical sciences, Aston University, UK; Dr. Kenneth Park, former project director of engineering management; Dr. Maxwell fordjour, current project director of engineering management; and Ms. Junying Jia, international project department, Aston University, UK; Sun Weiguo, deputy secretary of School of civil engineering of Northeast Forestry University, Zhang Shuxin, counselor, sun Xinzhu, director of examination center of Academic Affairs Office, Shi Xiaofei, section chief of international exchange and cooperation department, and 20 students of 2018 engineering management who are expected to go abroad attended the meeting, which was presided over by Liu Zhiming, Dean of Aulin College.
At the meeting, Shi Xiaofei, section chief of international exchange and cooperation department, conducted safety education for students before going abroad. From the entry-exit system, medical insurance, study abroad rental, legal work, their own safety and other aspects, examples are analyzed to give students the correct guidance. After that, Mr. Sun Xinzhu, director of the examination center of the academic affairs office, made a credit check against the talent training plan before going abroad, and explained in detail to the students about the course selection in the UK, and the timely application for credit replacement and graduation application after returning home.

Then, under the chairmanship of Dean Liu Zhiming, the students had an in-depth exchange with the responsible teachers of Aston University on the professional study, living and accommodation, degree acquisition conditions, grades and visa related issues during their stay in the UK. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Both sides are looking forward to their upcoming trip to the UK.
