Aulin college holds Academic Affairs Board meeting between Northeast Forestry University and Auckland University

At 9:30 a.m. on November 24, 2020, theAcademicAffairs Board meeting (AAB) of Northeast Forestry University & University of Auckland will be held in conference room 609,Aulinbuilding. Members of theAcademic Affairs Board, including Liu Zhiming,DeanofAulincollege, Zhao Lihua, viceDeanofAulincollege, Dean of teaching ofAulincooperative college, person in charge of graduate ecology and person in charge of Teaching Management Office ofAulincollege, as well as John Hosking, head of Science Department of Auckland University, Sebastian link, vice head of international affairs department and foreign discipline leaders, attended the meeting.

Zhiming Liu,DeanofAulincollege, first delivered a speech, affirming the teaching cooperation of this year, thanking theAucklandUniversity for its investment and support in teaching work, and putting forward five suggestions for the problems existing in the process of cooperation between the two sides, hoping that the two sides can strengthen communication and exchange to achieve better teaching effect.

John Hosking, director of the University of Auckland, said that it is a great honor to communicate withNEFU's colleagues through video. 2020 is a challenging year.Hewould like to thank all leaders and teachers ofNEFUfor their participation and contribution in this year's online teaching.He isvery glad to cooperate withNEFUefficiently. In the future, the University of Aucklandwill continue to work hard for the cooperation between the two sides.

Lihua Zhao,ViceDeanof the University, combined with the teaching arrangement of this semester, put forward three preliminary arrangements for the teaching cooperation of the University in 2021, and put forward requirements for the construction of the joint curriculum in order to achieve better teaching effect of the foreign courses ofAulin College.

Subsequently, the dean of teaching and the person in charge of the ecology graduate program of the cooperative college and the foreign academic leaders summarized the teaching operation of each major in this academic year. Both sides said that in the process of online teaching, Chinese and foreign teachers highly cooperated and conscientiously fulfilled their teaching mission. They hoped that in the second half of next year, the border of New Zealand would be opened, and the teachers ofAucklanduniversity would go toAulincollege to teach in person, Face to face communication withNEFUteachers and students to achieve better teaching results.

TheAcademic Affairs Boardconducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the teaching arrangement, Co-Construction of courses,NEFUdegree awarding conditions and the matching of tutors for ecology postgraduates in 2021, and put forward practical and effective solutions.

The meeting was a complete success, and both sides reached a number of consensus. It is planned to hold twoAcademic Affairs Boardmeetings next year to ensure the smooth operation of teaching and deepen the cooperation and exchange between the two sides.
