Aulin college and the Department of Science of the University of Auckland held the academic steering committee meeting
for the autumn semester of 2021
At 9 a.m. Beijing time on December 7, 2021, The Academic Affairs Board (AAB) meeting for the fall semester of 2021 was held by Aulin College of Northeast Forestry University and the Department of science of Auckland University. The meeting was held simultaneously in Harbin, Beijing, Auckland, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia by remote video. The AAB meeting was used as the "daily teaching communication meeting mechanism" of Aulin college It is held every six months to timely feed back the problems existing in teaching, continuously improve teaching design, steadily improve teaching effect, and ensure the continuous improvement of talent training quality.
The representatives of Auckland University attending the meeting are: Professor Sebastian link, Deputy Minister of international affairs of the Department of science, Professor Bruno fedrizzi, Deputy Minister of academic affairs, Professor John Taylor, Professor Bruce burns, Professor Brent copp, Professor Kaiqi Zhao and Ms. Lee Hsieh, international manager of the Department of science; Representatives of Northeast Forestry University attending the meeting: Liu Zhiming, dean of Aulin college, Zhao Lihua, vice dean of Aulin college, Professor Wang Xiaochun, Professor Peng Jinsong, Associate Professor Shi Jinming, Associate Professor Li Yang, head of international project center and representatives of relevant departments.
The meeting first summarized and reviewed the teaching operation of the coming autumn semester of 2021. The professional principals of both sides said that under the challenge of the epidemic, the curriculum could be implemented as planned and the cooperation between Chinese and foreign teachers was good. At the same time, they also exchanged views on individual problems in this semester and put forward corresponding improvement plans. Then, the teaching principals of both sides introduced their teaching plans for foreign courses in the spring of 2022. Finally, the two sides discussed many details such as the cultivation of ecology postgraduates, thesis opening, graduation application and graduation time of Aulin College, and discussed the education and teaching plan of students under various circumstances, such as being able to study at the University and not being able to study at the University. The atmosphere of the meeting was relaxed and pleasant. The participants reached consensus on a number of topics and preliminarily determined that the next meeting of the academic steering committee would be held in June 2022.
